Mai Egurza and Raquel Ródenas are the creators of the dFERIA poster.

The image is by Mai Egurza, a Basque illustrator who recently passed away. Raquel Ródenas also participated in the creation process. The dFERIA poster is intended as a heartfelt tribute to the artist, whose loss we deeply mourn.

Leitmotif 2026: LEGACY

Every year, dFERIA presents an image made under commission that embodies the essence of the leitmotif selected for each edition. In 2026, the narrative thread of the Fair is "legacy".

‘A legacy is what people leave behind as they pass through this world, their footprints, which represent their contribution to the world, in this case to culture. That is what the illustration represents: the marks left by various (diverse) people who step out of the frame and leave their footprints in the sand.’ With these words, Egurza expressed the meaning behind her piece.
